Most the time when we think of comfort, we think of our physical comfort. A soft pair of socks, a favorite sweatshirt, that squishy chair that you never want to leave or that pair of jeans that fit just right.
As humans, we seek out ways of feeling comfortable physically, but what about our mental and emotional comfort. Is there an area in your life where emotionally and mentally you have become complacent? Have you settled for mediocrity? You tell yourself and others that you are happy being comfortable but deep inside you wonder “Is this all there is?” Are you uncomfortable in your comfort zone? Where there once was passion and challenge, now you are just going through the motions. You know it is time for a change but just don’t know how to begin.
The best way to make a change in your life is one step at a time. Research the steps needed to make the change. Create a plan on taking those steps, even write them down, if needed. Then put the plan in motion, one step at a time.
It may be scary at first. It may take some time but don’t give up. You can live a life of satisfaction but it takes you making those first steps out of the what is familiar and just okay to something that is unfamiliar yet could be the best thing that ever happen.
